A Jacobean house, built from local materials which is kept as it was in Kipling's time with memorabilia throughout. Beautiful gardens plus a river that powers the water-mill producing flour for sale in the shop.
Ground floor and garden are wheelchair accessible (virtual computerised tours of the upper floors available). Tea-room accessible.
National Trust property, entrance is free for NT members. Others: Adult £2.60, child £3.10, family £15.50.
Open 11 - 5. Located in Burwash, Etchingham, TN19 7DS East Sussex.
Meet in the tea-room at 11am for coffee - or whatever.
