Welcome to the Midland Region page!
As you will have seen if you have studied the map of the TARS regions, we cover a vast area of the country including the East and West Midlands, large tracts of the Home Counties and the whole of Wales. We try to spread our activities around the region so that everyone gets the chance to join in sometimes. Not being lucky enough to have any of the venues of the books or other sites closely linked to Ransome within our boundaries we attempt to apply the imagination of Titty to come up with some suitably Tarry events. The committee is always delighted to hear from members who have ideas about things we could get up to.
Here are some photos of recent events:
The Mates' Galley had members cooking up some of Susan and Peggy’s best dishes as well as swilling grog and Jamaica rum and plenty of parleying round the campfire.
