This website is run by the Arthur Ransome Society Limited (TARS). TARS is a literary society set up to promote and encourage interest in the life and works of the English author, Arthur Ransome (1884 - 1967), who is perhaps best known for his series of Swallows and Amazons novels (1930 - 1947).

TARS Ltd is a company limited by guarantee under the laws of England & Wales. The officers of the Company are all volunteers. Please bear this in mind when contacting the Society.
