TARS Stall to close
TARS is looking for volunteer(s) to manage and run the Stall
Please note that the TARS Stall is closing down with effect from 31 May 2007, when Ted Alexander steps down from running it. Would anyone wishing to place an order please do so by 24 May at the latest.
If you are interested in getting involved by helping to continue and to develop this valuable service to TARS members, then the Trustees would very much like to hear from you. Ideally, together with the enthusiasm, willingness and desire to operate the Society Stall, you should also possess an aptitude for running a small business. Please note that, if necessary and beneficial, we will look at splitting the Stall management into its constituent parts. Exactly how this could be organised will depend upon your skills, interests and available time.
Constituent roles include financial, budget and stock control; dealing with suppliers; receiving and dealing with mail orders from members; arranging the Stall at IAGM’s and Literary Weekends and, finally, manning it at those events. In case that all sounds a little heavy, it is only fair to say that Ted describes managing the Stall as by far the best role in TARS! It certainly offers unrivalled opportunities to get to know other members throughout the world.
Would any TARS members interested, willing and able to help carry on Ted’s fantastic work, please get in touch with the Company Secretary, Kath Eastman. Contact details are in the latest Signals.
