According to the BBC the site of the camp of the real Robinson Crusoe has been found.

Hi, Robin. That's quite remarkable and somehow makes the idea of being "marooned" seem very real.

I can't help thinking of comparing Wild Cat Island to the real one in the BBC report: on WCI they also had their look-out post, of course, plus camp site. But as John pointed out, they didn't have any wild goats.
