SW TARS invade Somerset
Despite a gloomy weather forecast only the occasional brief shower fell on the fifty TARS members (and two dogs) who invaded the West Somerset Railway and the village of Watchet.
We travelled from Bishops Lydeard, through Stogumber and Williton to Watchet where we were greeted regally by the Town Crier.
The lure of fish and chips resulted in quite a few of us abandoning our picnic lunches. Then we randomly visited the little village museum, the boat museum, the harbour, the sea shore and the community bookshop before fortifying ourselves for the return journey by taking refreshment in one of the village's several tea shops.
