Come Along is a fictional work boat that appears in Coot Club.
Description
The Come Along is described as an open motor boat. Ransome makes it clear that she is both very powerful and very noisy. Her main work is that of a tug, helping hire yachts through the difficult tidal conditions in Yarmouth and Breydon Water.

She belongs to Old Bob.

Factual Inspiration
There is no known inspiration for Come Along, although it stands to reason that Ransome would have seen similar tug boats working on Breydon Water when cruising there himself.
What Happened to the "Real" Come Along?
Similar working boats remain in use to this day.
