TARS Appoints New President

Gabriel Woolf has been appointed as the third President of TARS, following Norman Willis's retirement at the AGM on 24th May

Norman stood down after nine years as President, a post he took up during the Society's 10th Anniversary celebrations in 2000. Ever popular and hugely enthusiastic, Norman's retirement was marked by a heart-felt and enthusiastic ovation from those members present at the AGM.

Gabriel's appointment was treated with similar enthusiasm. Gabriel is already well known to many TARS members, and to other Ransome readers - and listeners - for his abridged audiotapes and CDs of the twelve Swallows and Amazons books. You can read more about Gabriel at his official website.

All twelve audiobooks are available from the TARS Stall, and also from Gabriel's Swallows and Amazons audiobook website and via all good bookshops.
