"Swallows and Amazons" Short-listed for Best Cumbrian Book Award
Arthur Ransome's classic has been listed in a special competition to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Lakeland Book of the Year Awards.
The Lakeland Book of the Year Awards were founded by Cumbria Tourism and Hunter Davies in 1984. To mark their 25th Anniversary, they are running an additional vote to select the public's favourite Cumbrian books in four categories: children's, non-fiction, poetry and fiction.
Arthur Ransome's Swallows and Amazons has been short-listed alongside works by Catherine Cannon, John Cunliffe, Kathleen Fidler and Beatrix Potter.
You can read more - and vote - by visiting Cumbria Tourism's website.
