"We Didn't Mean to go to Sea" Opens in Ipswich

Nick Woods's adaptation of the Arthur Ransome classic premiered as part of the Ipswich Festival on 3rd July.

This new adaptation of We Didn't Mean to go to Sea is being performed by the regional touring  theatre company  Eastern Angles. It runs until August 2nd.

You can read a review of the opening night's performance here.

The Nancy Blackett Trust had hoped to have Nancy at the waterfront in Ipswich for the 3rd, ready to form a perfect backdrop to the opening night's performance. Unfortunately, Nancy is currently still on her way back to the East Coast from Falmouth. You can get up to date news on her progress at the Trust website here.
