Nancy Blackett is Heading Home

After a successful voyage to Falmouth for the TARS AGM Weekend, Arthur Ransome's Nancy Blackett is beginning her return passage to the East Coast this weekend

Nancy is owned and operated by the Nancy Blackett Trust. Details of her outward passage to Falmouth can be found here.

Progress on her return passage to the River Orwell will be posted regularly on the Nancy Blackett Trust website, available here.

Her return passage along the south coast is scheduled to last about a month, allowing opportunities for Trust members to sail her, and for the public to see her at many of the ports and harbours along the way. On her return she is scheduled to attend the Old Gaffers Association Swamazons event at Walton & Frinton Yacht Club on July 5th - 6th.

TARS would like to thank the Nancy Blackett Trust for the hard work put in by Trust members in getting Nancy to Falmouth for the 2008 IAGM. Sadly the weather prevented much sailing, but over thirty TARS members were able to enjoy Nancy on the water, and many more visited her at the National Maritime Museum pontoon.
