Live webcam comes to "Holly Howe"

You can now see live images from Bank Ground Farm, courtesy of their newly-installed webcam.

Bank Ground Farm's new webcam offers eight views from the farm itself, looking out across Coniston Water towards Coniston Village, the Coppermines Valley and the Old Man of Coniston beyond. The webcam can be viewed either as static images, or as "live video", with the image being updated every second.

A great way to watch the weather in Coniston, or perhaps to check whether the Gondola and Coniston Launch are running, or even to see whether anybody is following in Roger's footsteps by tacking up the field to the farm from the boathouses below.

Arthur Ransome used Bank Ground Farm as the model for the fictional Holly Howe in the Swallows and Amazons books. The Old Man of Coniston also made an appearance, as Kanchenjunga in Swallowdale.
